Point cloud processing in Surpac, available since version 6.8, continues to advance and handle increasingly large datasets, such as a 4GB file with 155 million points. While Surpac can display such clouds on capable hardware, creating a DTM from them raises key questions: are all the points necessary, and would the resulting massive DTM be practical for further analysis or calculations?
